Women Cell

The College has a well constituted Women Cell, makes awareness for social and Ethical issues among Girl students and staffs. The Cell conducts gender sensitizing Programs by organizing lectures and seminars. Women Cell takes care of the concerns of the Girl students of the College and sensitizes students
about women’s rights. The Women Cell promoting the ability of women students to determine their own choices, and their right to influence social change for themselves and others. The Women Cell organizes programs on legal assistance, women’s health and self-defense training which help in boosting the status of women. Additionally, departments such as History, Sociology and Economics offer separate papers with regard to feminism, gender justice, human rights and development. The Women Cell of the College holds meeting in the last week of the every month. Complaints/grievances to the Girl students are regarded with utmost seriousness and take appropriate action. The Committee time to time visits in each departments and enquires girl students’ problems.
There is a complaint box outside the office in which the girls can complain in written. The Committee makes the entries of all the meetings in the Women Cell Register. The Women Cell has also created a WhatsApp Group in which all the Female Employees and Girl students are connected virtually.
