About the library

The Library has an important learning resource for the faculty and students. The Library of the College is located in a separate building of size around 1220 Sq.mtr. There is a reading room facility with computers are made available for the students and teachers to browse e-learning materials. The Library contains sufficient reading materials relevant to all the courses offered by the College includes Books, Journals, Magazines, Newspapers and online resources. The Central Library of the college partially automated with N-LIST subscription by which the students and faculty members can easily access the e-books, e-journals and other relevant e-contents.

Facilities

  • Library of the College has operational and partially automated with e-Master software version 3.0.
  • The e-Master software rectifies the Library management system and circulates reading materials smoothly.
  • The important features of e-Master software are like customizable search, online circulation and barcode printing in the Library.
  • Around 32 LAN connected Desktops have been installed in the Library reading room with Wi-Fi and internet facilities.
  • These Desktops are used to access the N-LIST library link that the College has subscribed. A Desktop is connected to a Printer so that material accessed on the internet can be printed.
  • The Library also has a high quality Photocopier for duplication of hard copy materials.
  • The library reading room also has overhead projector for Smart English Language Lab.
  • The Smart English Language Lab is supported with e-Master English cloud software version 1.0 operational over offline LAN network.
  • At the time of admission a Library identity card is issued to students for membership, registration and issue/return of books to the Library.
  • All PG Departments has individual library for the students.

Functions

The Library in-charge compiles Accession Register as well as online access foot falls, login data and always encourages stakeholders to visits library services for healthy knowledge. The Library has advisory committee which helps in planning and smooth functioning of the Library. The Library has one Asst. Professor as Library in-charge and some teaching faculty as members. This committee works for better mobilization of resources for library.
